It amazes me no end to see Muslims throughout the world make big doctrinal mistakes. Take the case of the syahadah or testimony of faith appears in the Quran in Surah 3 (Ali-Imran) verse 18. It goes “GOD bears witness that there is no god except He, and so do the angels and those who possess knowledge. Truthfully and equitably, He is the absolute god; there is no god but He, the Almighty, Most Wise.” That’s the one and only syahadah. It is testified by God Himself, the angels and those knowledgeable. It is a very strong testimony. The so called second syahadah appears in Surah 63 (Al-Munaafeeqoon) verse 1. It goes “When the hypocrites come to you they say, ‘We bear witness that you are the messenger of GOD.’ GOD knows that you are His messenger, and GOD bears witness that the hypocrites are liars.” Muslims throughout the world observe this so called second syahadah. What a tragedy! Where are the leaders and scholars? Why do not they read the Quran and follow the Quran? This amazes me. In Prophet Muhammad’s time, there was no clock, hence the necessity for the call to prayer (azan). Today we know precisely when the times of prayer. There is no need for the call to prayer which is practiced throughout the Muslim world. Where is their thinking? These are the major mistakes one can mention another one, the pilgrimage (the Hajj). Prophet Muhammad made his pilgrimage in the 12th month of the lunar/Muslim calendar. But the Quran (which Prophet Muhammad brought to the world) mentions 4 sacred months during which Muslims can make the pilgrimage. There are about 2 million Muslims who make the pilgrimage every year. If we divide 2 million by 4, we get 500,000 of pilgrims every time. We would avoid stampedes, killing a lot of people. These are some of the major mistakes that Muslims throughout the world make. It is high time Muslims return to the teachings of the Quran. Whose crime is it that these mistakes are made? It is the crime, the horrible crime of the famous jurist named, Imam Syafi'e. It was he who stipulated two principal sources, i.e. the Quran and the Hadith. It was not said by the Prophet Muhammad in Surah 69 (Al-Haaqqah) verses 38-48, GOD strongly warns Prophet Muhammad NOT to initiate any other teaching than the Quran, thus making the Hadith(s) fabrications.
Malaysia happens to be a strong upholder of Hadith(s). Sometimes the so called experts, appearing on the Forum Perdana every Thursday night quote the Hadiths more than the Quran. Muslims scholars, Bukhari and five others, collected many thousands of so called hadiths and classified them as authentic or weak 250 to 300 years after the death of Prophet Muhammad. These are collections by the Sunni sect. The Syi’ah have their own collections of so called Hadiths. To my mind, these fabricated Hadiths are a major source of confusion and downfall of Islam In the reign of the third caliph, Uthman Ibni Affan, the Arab Muslim armies of liberation swept through the two hegemonic powers at that time, the Roman and Persian empires. Islam became the TOPMOST COUNTRY in the world for eight centuries. Baghdad was the capital of the world. Medieval Europe came to seat at the feet of Baghdad for three centuries before their Renaissance. This fact most European historians seek to hide. Two major books, one by Robert Briffult, The Making of Humanity and G.Sarton's, Multi volume Introduction to the History of Science. These two European writers stated that everything that today’s Europe inherited came from the Arab-Muslim world. Today the Muslim world has lost its leadership of the world due to corruptions. I want to mention another centre of Muslim civilization in the west in Andalusia, Spain. As to another mistake is that when they read the Quran, they sing whereas God has already told in the Quran that the Quran is not a song book. God also warns the Muslims NOT to worship two gods in Surah 16 (Al-Nahl) verse 51, referring to elevating Muhammad to a position of godhood. In most mosque and Muslim homes, the words 'Allah' is written on the right and 'Muhammad'on the left with the same size and on the level. This is elevating Muhammad to a position of godhood. It is high time that the Muslims guided by the divine protected Quran should regain their first position in the world. The falling European world will not last more than three decades from now. It is the duty of Muslims throughout the world to regain their position of world leadership and to save the world from near total nuclear destruction. Some Muslim women or girls who visited me in 2015 refused to shake hands with me when I welcomed them. I told them that this is a misunderstanding of the word, 'touch'. In the context of the Quran, Maryam says "I have not been touched by a man; how can I bear a child? Hence, the word 'touch' means sexual intercourse, not the shaking of hands. This is a huge misunderstanding. Shaking hands is an act of friendship; so it is highly recommended. How a misunderstanding of a word can cause a confusion! These are the major mistakes Muslims have made, resulting in the low 7th position they are in the world today. It is high time they reclaim their position of world leadership. Either the Muslims do, or the whole world will turn to Islam before long.
